Writing Background…

Linda began writing in 1995 in response to the Lord’s leading in the creation of a teaching ministry, called Words of Encouragement.  She began by writing a monthly newsletter.  The June issue of 1996 marked the first e-zine issue published online, with monthly issues continuing through June, 2012.

Learning new aspects of writing led to participation in a writing class with Susan Rabiner and Alfred Fortunato, authors of “Thinking Like Your Editor”.  Over the years Linda has developed strong skills in research, teaching, internet marketing, organizational development, and digital photography.

November, 2006, marked Linda’s success as a winner in the National Novel Writing Month Contest sponsored by Chris Baty.

In 2007, Linda’s true story about dementia called “Stretched to My Limits” was published in the Alzheimer’s anthology, “Stolen Moments” compiled by Elizabeth Bezant and Pamela J. Eaves and published in Australia.  This led to a series of ghost written travel articles for a publication in Great Britain.

Linda began earnestly pursuing more writing experience in 2007 writing on Squidoo.  In 2008, she began writing freelance articles for Helium.com resulting in several ghost written articles published at a variety of publications.

After fifteen years of homeschool experience, Linda self-published her first book,  Homeschooling:  The Modern Day One Room Schoolhouse, in 2009, to provide knowledge and insight for beginning homeschool moms.

Linda continues her teaching ministry blogging on her Words of Encouragement Blog created in 2010.

In 2011, Linda expanded her writing ministry to include devotional writing with Devotional Christian Blog.

A Word From Linda…

The Why Behind What I Do

“And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.” Deuteronomy 6:5 KJV

Loving God is my life’s quest!  I am seeking Him in all things!  Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, has touched every aspect of my life. I’m not perfect, but I am trying to please Him in all things.  His Word, the Bible, is the standard by which I try to live.

“O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.” Psalm 34:3

If you are seeking Him, He will be found. Come along and join me as we seek Him in all things!

“For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” Romans 15:4

I look forward to sharing Biblical wisdom and counsel with my readers.

“Let’s learn and grow together!”
